Take Off with Online Travel Discounts and Deals

A hot topic of discussion among my friends lately has been the discounts that airlines are offering for national and international travel. So even if you have a limited travel budget this year, you may want to think outside the box to decide on your final destination. For example: pay about $200 for a round trip ticket to Ft. Lauderdale or for a little bit more, pay $272 for a round trip ticket to Dublin, Ireland.

Of course there are some exclusions and restrictions that apply, but if you hunt around you can find some good deals.

Nevada Federal CU members can also get discounted rates on car rentals reserved through Budget and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Air Fare –

Delta Airlines was featuring discounts up to 57% to some European destinations like Venice, Italy; Zurich, Switzerland; and Prague, Czech Republic.

US Airways is offering discounted tickets to Dublin from $272 round trip, Brussels from $409 round trip, Hawaii from $174 each way and Oslo from $848 round trip.

United Airlines is offering discounted flights to Melbourne or Sydney, Australia. Sample one-way fares include flights from Los Angeles and San Francisco for $299; flights from Fresno and Las Vegas for $344 and flights from Chicago and Cedar Rapids for $439.

Southwest Airlines is offering "get away" discounts starting at $49 one-way for tickets purchased through April 6 and for travel through August 14, 2009.

Car Rentals-

Budget is offering Nevada Federal Credit Union members up to 20% off their next car rental.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car is offering Nevada Federal Credit Union members 5% off their next car rental.
